These Terms and Conditions apply to purchases made from Storage First Ltd through www.storagefirstltd.co.uk or through an order or quotation agreed directly with us.

Email: sales@storagefirstltd.co.uk
Company registration number: [Confirm and insert the correct Companies House number]
In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Storage First Ltd. “You” and “your” refer to the customer placing an order.
We supply storage and workplace equipment, including lockers, industrial shelving, racking, workbenches, cupboards, specialist storage cabinets, office storage and related products and services.
2. Who these terms apply to
We sell to both businesses and individual consumers.
A consumer is an individual buying mainly for purposes outside their trade, business, craft or profession.
A business customer is a customer purchasing for business or professional purposes.
Some terms differ depending on whether you are a consumer or a business customer. Nothing in these terms removes or limits any consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
3. Product information
We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, specifications, images, dimensions, finishes and prices on our website are accurate.
Images are for illustrative purposes. Minor variations in colour, finish or appearance may occur between product images and supplied products. Any variation will not affect your statutory rights or our obligation to supply goods as described.
You should check product dimensions, load capacities, installation requirements, access restrictions and suitability for your intended use before ordering. Where you need assistance, please contact us before placing your order.
Product availability may change. If an item becomes unavailable after you place an order, we will contact you to discuss the available options.
4. Prices and VAT
Prices and any applicable VAT, delivery charges, installation charges and other costs will be shown on the website, quotation or order confirmation, as applicable.
Where a quotation is required, the price and any relevant delivery or installation costs will be confirmed before you commit to the order.
We reserve the right to correct genuine pricing or description errors. If an error affects an order you have placed, we will contact you before proceeding. If we cannot agree a revised price with you, the order may be cancelled and any payment received for that order refunded.
Any offer, discount or promotion is subject to the conditions stated when it is advertised.
5. Orders and contract formation
Placing an order or requesting a quotation does not necessarily mean that we have accepted the order.
For online purchases, we will provide an order acknowledgement and confirm whether the order has been accepted. For quotation-based orders, the contract will be formed when the quotation and order have been accepted in writing by both parties, or when we otherwise expressly confirm acceptance.
Please check all order details carefully, including product references, quantities, dimensions, finishes, delivery address, access requirements and any installation services.
If you notice an error, contact us as soon as possible. We will advise whether the order can be amended. Once an order has been accepted, changes may not be possible if goods have entered production, have been specially ordered or are being prepared for dispatch.
6. Payment
Accepted payment methods and payment deadlines will be displayed at checkout or stated on your quotation or invoice.
For business orders, any deposit, staged payment or credit terms must be agreed in writing. Where no alternative terms have been agreed, payment is due as stated on the relevant invoice.
We may delay dispatch or installation where payment due before delivery has not been received, subject to applicable law and the terms agreed for the order.
7. Delivery
We currently offer delivery to UK mainland addresses, subject to the product, destination and arrangements agreed for the order. Please contact us before ordering if you require delivery outside these areas.
Delivery charges, estimated delivery times and any special delivery arrangements will be confirmed on the website or in your quotation or order confirmation.
Our website indicates that standard shelving, racking, lockers and office storage products typically have a delivery lead time of approximately 10–15 working days. This is an estimate unless a specific delivery date or period has been expressly agreed in writing.
Delivery times may be affected by product availability, manufacturer lead times, transport conditions, access restrictions or other circumstances outside our reasonable control. If a delay arises, we will contact you and explain the available options.
Unless otherwise agreed, delivery is made to the kerbside or another accessible delivery point agreed in advance. The delivery driver is not authorised to carry goods into your premises or move goods beyond the agreed delivery point.
You are responsible for ensuring that:
the delivery address and contact details are correct;
the delivery vehicle can safely access the delivery location;
suitable access, parking and unloading arrangements are available;
someone authorised is available to receive the delivery; and
any site restrictions, vehicle restrictions, access limitations or special unloading requirements are disclosed to us before delivery.
Our standard delivery arrangements allow up to two hours for delivery and offloading, as described on our Delivery & Returns page. Additional charges may apply where extra time, special vehicles, redelivery or other non-standard arrangements are required, provided these charges and their basis have been made clear and agreed where required.
Where a delivery quotation is based on a particular vehicle size or access assumption, additional charges may be necessary if the information provided is inaccurate or the site cannot accommodate the agreed vehicle. We will explain any additional cost before proceeding wherever reasonably possible.
Please inspect your delivery as soon as reasonably possible and notify us promptly of any visible damage, missing items or delivery discrepancies. This does not affect your statutory rights.
8. Installation and assembly
Installation, dismantling, recycling, space planning, CAD design and assembly services are available only where offered and agreed for your order.
The scope of any service, its price, the site requirements and the anticipated schedule will be confirmed in the relevant quotation or order confirmation.
You are responsible for providing safe and suitable site access and ensuring the installation area is ready for the agreed work. Any site-specific requirements must be disclosed in advance.
Installation must be carried out in accordance with the agreed specification and relevant product instructions. You should not exceed stated load limits or use storage equipment in a manner inconsistent with its intended purpose.
Where you arrange installation independently, you are responsible for ensuring that the installer is appropriately qualified and that the equipment is assembled and secured in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and applicable requirements.
If you request that installation or another service begins during a statutory consumer cancellation period, we will obtain any consent or acknowledgement required by law. Any cancellation charges for services will be limited to those permitted by law and applicable to the circumstances.
9. Consumer cancellations and returns
This section applies to consumers. It does not remove any additional rights you may have if goods are faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise fail to meet legal requirements.
9.1 Changing your mind about an online order
If you are a consumer purchasing goods online or through another qualifying distance-selling method, you will generally have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days after the day you receive the goods. Certain legal exceptions may apply, including to qualifying bespoke or personalised goods.
To exercise your right to cancel, email sales@storagefirstltd.co.uk or write to us using the contact details above. Clearly identify your order and tell us that you wish to cancel it. You do not have to give a reason.
After notifying us of cancellation, you generally have a further 14 days to return the goods, unless we have agreed to collect them.
9.2 Returning goods
Unless we have agreed to collect the goods, you must return them within the applicable legal period. Because storage equipment can be large or heavy, please contact us before arranging a return so that safe handling and transport can be discussed.
Where you cancel simply because you have changed your mind, you may be responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods if we informed you of this requirement before purchase. If goods cannot normally be returned by post, the applicable return cost or a reasonable estimate should be provided before you order.
You may handle goods as necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. If goods have been handled beyond what is necessary and their value has consequently diminished, we may be entitled to make a deduction permitted by law.
We will not apply a blanket restocking fee or other deduction where doing so would unlawfully restrict your statutory cancellation rights.
9.3 Refunds for valid cancellations
Where a consumer exercises a statutory cancellation right, we will refund the amounts required by law, including the cost of the least expensive standard delivery option where applicable.
We will issue the refund within the legally required timeframe and generally use the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise.
9.4 Bespoke and specially configured products
The statutory change-of-mind cancellation right may not apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised where the relevant legal exception applies.
A product is not automatically exempt simply because it is ordered from a supplier, is not held in stock, or is selected from a range of standard options.
If a product is genuinely bespoke or personalised and is not eligible for change-of-mind cancellation, we will make this clear before you place your order. Your rights relating to faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods remain unaffected.
9.5 Faulty, damaged or incorrect goods
If goods arrive damaged, are missing, are incorrect or do not conform to the contract, please contact us promptly at sales@storagefirstltd.co.uk and include your order number and, where useful, photographs.
We will assess the issue and explain the appropriate next steps. Consumers retain their statutory rights to remedies such as repair, replacement, price reduction or refund, as applicable. Nothing in these terms limits those rights.
10. Business customer cancellations and returns
For business customers, orders may be cancelled or amended only with our written agreement, subject to any cancellation terms agreed in the quotation or order confirmation and applicable law.
If we agree to a business customer's cancellation or return, the customer may be responsible for reasonable costs already incurred, including supplier charges, collection and transport costs, and any agreed restocking or handling charges. Any applicable charges will depend on the circumstances and the terms agreed for the order.
We will confirm any agreed return arrangements and applicable costs before the return is organised.
This section does not limit any rights a business customer may have under the contract or applicable law.
11. Product use, safety and maintenance
You must use and maintain products in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and any product-specific safety information supplied with them.
Do not exceed the stated load capacities. Shelving, racking, lockers, cabinets and workbenches must be installed and used for their intended purpose.
Where a product requires anchoring, specialist installation, periodic inspection or other safety measures, you are responsible for following the applicable instructions unless those services have been expressly included in our order.
Any product certification, performance, fire-testing or antimicrobial claim applies only to the product and specification for which the claim has been substantiated. Please contact us if you require supporting technical documentation for a particular product.
12. Warranties and liability
We will supply goods and services in accordance with the contract and applicable law.
Consumer customers have statutory rights where goods are not of satisfactory quality, are not fit for their intended purpose or are not as described. Services must also comply with applicable legal requirements. These rights are not replaced by any manufacturer's warranty.
For business customers, any manufacturer's warranty or additional contractual warranty will apply only on the terms stated in the relevant product documentation or written agreement.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.
For business customers, and to the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from an order. Any other limitation of liability must be interpreted in accordance with the contract and applicable law.
13. Events outside our reasonable control
We will not be responsible for delay or failure to perform caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, such as severe weather, transport disruption, supplier interruption, industrial action or government restrictions.
Where such circumstances affect your order, we will contact you and take reasonable steps to minimise the disruption. This section does not remove any consumer rights that apply to delayed or undelivered goods.
14. Complaints and customer support
If you have a question or complaint about a product, delivery, installation or order, please contact:
Email: sales@storagefirstltd.co.uk
Telephone: 0800 061 4699
Address: 5 Brayford Square, London, E1 0SG, United Kingdom
Please provide your order or quotation reference and a clear description of the issue. We will review your concern and respond as soon as reasonably possible.
15. Privacy
We use personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which explains what information we collect, why we use it and how we handle it.
Please read our Privacy Policy here: [Insert the link to your published Privacy Policy].
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The version applicable to an order will normally be the version in force when the contract is formed, unless a change is required by law or otherwise agreed with you.
Any change will not retrospectively remove rights you already have under an existing contract.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory legal protections that apply to consumers resident elsewhere.
Disputes will be dealt with by the courts with appropriate jurisdiction, taking account of any mandatory consumer rights concerning where proceedings may be brought.
